Tivemos uma manha de Pesca costeira e gostamos bastante e apanhamos bastante peixe.
Aconselho a quem gosta de Pesca costeira a experimentar esta experiencia.

Agradecidísimo a pedro y ayudantes, patron de pesca serio y
experimentado, conocedor como nadie de los fondos marinos de la zona,
costumbres y querencias del variado pescado grande que lo habita; Tuve el
honor de compartir con él 2 jornadas de pesca muy variadas (de
fondo/currican y pescasub) con resultados y capturas extraordinarias (tanto
de cantidad como de talla) . Con su embarcacion y material de pesca de
primera calidad (cañas, carretes y señuelos y cebos) y
Siguiendo
sus sabios consejos y tecnicas de pesca (algunas para mí novedosas) le
debo una de mis mejores jornadas de pesca de fondo de mi vida y sin duda,
la mejor jornada de pescasub que haga nunca (excepto que vuelva). Opino
que: "En estos tiempos MODERNOS donde abundan los engaños y timos a
los pescadores deportivos por todo el mundo, northsoreseatours es una
empresa de pesca de garantía al 100% recomendable y con optimos
resultados". Con ellos aprenderas a pescar. Mil Gracias.

Booking the trip was easy online, and Pedro confirmed the booking by e-mail. He and his colleague were very friendly and we set off promptly at about 7:15am. The boat was quite small but perfectly adequate for the three of us (plus Pedro and his colleague). We started off jigging but had no luck for the first two hours, so then we switched to bottom fishing and started to catch a couple of small groupers. Shortly after this we came across a shoal of mackerel and switched to fishing about 10-15m below the surface and this was successful. Towards the end of the four hours, we tried a bit of trawling and my son caught a couple of small fish. Pedro had sonar equipment to help him determine depth and fish; the equipment was very good; and we tried different methods of getting results. Thanks for the trip!

Foi mais do que esperávamos!!! O Pedro e a Patrícia foram 5* sempre muito dedicados, não há mesmo nada que pensamos poderem melhorar...
Esta experiência foi memorável, além de uma nova emoção, encontramos golfinhos durante a "espera", no final o Pedro preparou os nossos peixes para um almoço excepcional, mais fresco impossível!
Recomendamos vivamente e pretendemos voltar de certo!

GREAT EXPERIENCE. a complete different view on the coast from the sea. it is great that this trip can be booked for only 2 persons. a 2 HOUR TRIP (EARLY IN THE MORNING OR EARLY IN THE AFTERNOON) IS PERFECT TO DISCOVER THE VERY NICE COASTLINE AND TO PLAN OTHER ACTIVITIES ON THE SAME DAY. explanations by skipper were appreciated. really enjoyed it!!!

Goeie schipper die het polyester speedbootje behendig langs de kust en de grotten invaart. Onze middagtocht was vanwege het weer 2 maal uitgesteld, maar de organisatie nam goed contact op per mail en telefoon.
Helaas geen dolfijnen of walvissen kunnen zien, wel een lekker stukje naar een afgelegen strandje kunnen zwemmen.

We had a great half-day with Pedro. The weather was not the most propitious for fishing - north easterly and overcast - but we still caught bicuda and even had a take on the jelly-eel Pedro leant me to use on my fly rod! We also enjoyed seeing the spectacular scenery from the water, and watching the sheerwaters. A great morning and we will be back. Sara and Anny

It was a pleasure to go shore fishing with pedro from northshore. He knows the sea as well he knows how and where to catch some nice fish. Booking and fix the departure time with northshore was very easy however we had to change it because of weather conditions.

Good day on the water with Pedro and mates. Rough seas did not permit us to fish the desired spot, but closer to shore we caught plenty of barracudas and two nice bluefish. Good, clean boat and friendly staff.

For us, this was a spectacular fishing trip along the rugged coastline. Pedro and his assistant were of great help with the fishing rods and preparing everything for a perfect experience. Highly recommended.

oved our 1/2 day of fishing. Pedro was wonderful. my husband and I caught so many fish and then had a delicious lunch of the freshest fish ever! (note, my husband is a fly fisherman, neither of us had done deep sea fishing before--Pedro made it so easy)

TIP: 1) make sure you are checking email, or calling to confirm your booking as weather (and seas) can change in the azores, and they may need to reschedule. 2) we chose to take 2 fish to a restaurant in furnas (Banhos Ferreos). It would have been better to take to a local, Maia place, as most Furnas restaurants were a bit too toursity for such a request. 3) if you know you get "sea sick" like I do, there is a pharmacy in town. picked up some dramamine to pre-medicate. 4) enjoy a walk along the ocean to the old "laundry washing" spot before or after your fishing to get even more of a taste of Maia.

Pedro was an excellent captain and very personable! We loved our trip and caught some good size mackerel. We would highly recommend this charter .

We had an awesome trip and caught several different species. We first hit a few bait balls for mackerel which was a blast then did some deep dropping for deep water fish. Ended up jigging up a nice Blackspot Seabream. We ended the trip trolling and caught two barracuda very quickly. Overall an awesome trip and would highly recommend.

Amazing! Pedro knows his fish. For people who just want to be out on the water, taking in the coast line while catching and learning from someone who is born and raised in Sao Miguel this trip is perfect. My wife and I did this on the last day of our honeymoon and we could not have asked for a better experience. We went in the afternoon and so did not catch too many fish but rather soaked in the Azores, the calm, the quiet, the flurry of a bite on the line. So peaceful! It felt like a casual days fishing trip with friends. We did not chase after trophy/sport fish, rather fishing for barracuda, pig (Trigger) fish and Bluefish, fish that you could find in a local restaurant. You can keep and cook the fish you catch or North Shore Sea Tours will take them. Will definitely come back and fish in the morning, but can not say enough good things about our experience. North Shore Sea Tours is a must when visiting Sao Miguel!

Had an holiday with 3 days fishing with North Shore Sea Tours, Pedro knows plenty of fishing spots on the north coast. He put us on catching fish very quick. His knowledge about fishing was super and he loves the game as much as we do. Patricia was also very responsive with the emails and organized everything very well. I will definitely come back!

Sarah and I had a great time on our trip. Pedro was wonderful out on the water. We hooked into some beautiful fish. The boat control and fishing knowledge was abosolutely terrific. I begged my wife to allow me to book an additional day, but she said we had to see the other sites...I think she hates fun. If we are ever back in the Azores, I will be contacting you both! I really wanted to thank Pedro for an amazing experience out on the Atlantic ocean. The day was perfect with calm blue waters. We were scheduled on a particular day and they suggested a new day which luckily we were available - this recommendation made a huge difference in the ocean and fishing conditions. Pedro knew the area well and had special hot spots were we even caught two fish on one line - twice!!! I highly recommend you use North Shore Sea Tours as you will not be disappointed. Pedro is a superhost. Very knowledgable and will make sure you catch fish. The boat is very good and comfortable.
If you want to fish when you are on Sao Miguel this is the place to be.

I’m thankful to Pedro for an enjoyable fishing sortie this past week (June 2019). The sea was somewhat rough but Pedro exhibited assurance and professionalism that made us feel we were in good hands.. We ended up having a lovely time picking up some nice pieces and enjoying the tour along the north eastern shore of Sao Miguel island. . Thanks to him also for suggesting the restaurant in Maia. The chef grilled the three pieces Pedro kindly offered us to perfection making for a memorable and delicious lunch. I can’t wait to plan to come back another time to Sao Miguel and go out with Pedro for more fun.

We spent an excellent afternoon with a good skipper along the wonderful cliff of NorthShore.

Even if we were not lucky at first hours, it was a very great experience and a very enjoyable fishing experience.
We tried two different fishing techniques, I enjoyed both. And of course it was great to see the sea and cost views from different prespective.

It was nice to know about the fish we were fishing and also it was very nice to have some fishes to eat afterwards.

To improve maybe it would be greate to have more information about the fishes, more didactic and about fishing itselves. Maybe you could set fishing levels so you can custom and design different experiences per clients.
Of course, not a lot of fishes were able to be caught, but this is just the sea hahaha not you!

We drove out on 12.09.18 for a half day tour for coastal fishing. It was a very successful day when we caught three different species of fish, including several Baracudas and one Calmar.
Big thanks to Pedro, he is a great fish guide and understands something about his trade.
And the crowning conclusion, the self-caught fish was freshly grilled and eaten by the nearby restaurant !!!

Great service. Many thanks to Pedro who showed the most beautiful places!

Overall it was a great experience and i was always feeling save and taken care of. So I would definetively recommend it.

However, there are some things that could be improved to even optimize the experience. First, a short briefing for everybody before you start would be nice. What Kind of fishing? Which fish to expect? Why use which lures etc.
Then, if you take 3 or 4 people you should have all lures available more than one time. If the fish attack one Color for example, only one Person catches a lot and the other feel Bad. Better if every one can switch to the good lure.
Also, you should have sufficient extra Material available if somebody get Stuck.

We went fishing two times with Pedro and had a great experience! Even in february with unstable weather and rough seas, Pedro and Patricia did everything to find the best time to go out and get us to fish. After the first trip with plenty of catch (amberjack, barracuda, bluefish, macrel, grouper, bream...) we were hooked. The second time was a bit harder, but we still caught a lot and had a great day out.
Pedro is a very nice guy, speaks good english and is a competent captain and fishing guide. The tackle and the boat are in good shape and the price is absolutely fair.
We will definitely be back and go out with Pedro as often as possible!!!

What an amazing trip!!! Thank you so much for putting us on all of those fish we had an amazing time. The scenery and stories were amazing as well. As two guys from South Louisiana, we were super excited to fish the Azores as it is totally different from what we are used to and these guys did not disappoint. We will definitely be back again and are counting the days until our next chance to go fishing with y’all!

Had a great time perfectly obvious Pedro knew exactly where to catch fish in his local area. He presented us with different area’s to catch different species with different methods which was also great. Would have loved to catch a barracuda but I had two hits which came away so that’s how it goes in fishing. Loved his connection with his local restaurant who cooked the fish we caught when we came of the boat. Good trip 5 Stars from me for both local knowledge and effort to put us in front of fish
